Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, the Information Technology Division, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a workshop entitled “The Smart Board”, presented by Ms. Haneen Siraj Ibrahim, Ms. Hiba Imad Nameq, and Senior Engineer Enas Ahmed Abd. It’s held in the Smart Hall.

The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of interactive whiteboards and their tools, which facilitate the delivery of educational content in a more efficient and interactive manner, being one of the advanced technological tools.

The session began with an introduction to the smart board as a teaching tool that enables the presentation of educational content in universities, schools, or even corporate project presentations using various features and tools, such as geometric shapes, mathematical equations, and others that simplify the delivery of scientific material. It also offers numerous advantages, the most significant of which is encouraging students to use and benefit from modern technology in their daily lives. Additionally, the dynamic nature of the visual content helps capture students’ attention, thereby enhancing their understanding of the material. The smart board also allows for saving, storing, printing, and sending all presented content in files for easy access and review, with the possibility of converting it into a whiteboard when needed.

The workshop included several discussions and inquiries, which were addressed by the presenters.
