Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, the Department of Computer Science, in collaboration with the Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Unit, held a workshop entitled “National Unity and Fostering Loyalty to Iraq among University Students.”

The workshop was presented by Dr. Orouss Khalid and Dr. Amal Sufaih, and was attended by the Head of the Computer Science Department along with a number of female students from the department.

The primary objective of the workshop was to familiarize students with the concept of loyalty to the homeland, highlighting its significance in nation-building and societal development. It emphasized the ways in which individuals can cultivate a sense of loyalty and a desire to serve and elevate their country, drawing upon religious, cultural, and civilizational values that contribute to strengthening national unity.

The workshop addressed the definition and importance of national loyalty, as well as the role of individuals and communities in reinforcing this value. It stressed the necessity of instilling these principles in university students, who represent one of the most vital segments of society, serving as its foundation and future leaders. Through their dedication to academic pursuits and their commitment to preserving public property, students demonstrate their love for their country, their sense of belonging, and their keenness to serve and develop it.

The session also featured interventions and discussions focused on promoting national loyalty and contributing to societal development.
