Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, the Department of Chemistry organized a scientific visit to Al-Ma’moun Factory, affiliated with the General Company for Food Products, on Sunday, October 19, 2025. The visit was conducted within the framework of mutual cooperation between the college and institutions of the industrial sector.

The visit aimed to acquaint the students with the stages of food product manufacturing and to introduce them to the latest technologies and mechanisms adopted in production lines. Specialists at the factory provided a detailed explanation of the operational procedures followed to ensure quality control and food safety, starting from the reception of raw materials, through the manufacturing processes, and ending with the packaging and labeling stages.

The students and accompanying faculty members expressed their appreciation for this initiative, emphasizing that the visit contributed to enhancing the practical dimension of theoretical knowledge and provided the students with an opportunity for direct interaction with experts and specialists in the field of food industries.

For its part, the General Company for Food Products affirmed that this visit comes as part of its support for the educational process and field training programs for students, thereby contributing to the development of their skills and preparing them to enter the labor market with competence and confidence.
