The Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, participated in the meeting of the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Science, held at the University of Mosul. The meeting was convened in accordance with the directives of the Chair of the Committee of Deans of Colleges of Science and in coordination with the Vice Chair, the Dean of the College of Science at the University of Mosul, and was attended by a representative from the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The meeting took place on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, at 9:30 a.m., and addressed a number of significant topics related to Colleges of Science across Iraqi universities.
The discussions focused on several key themes, most notably the development of academic curricula, the modernization of research laboratories, the enhancement of quality assurance and academic accreditation standards, and the promotion of scientific research and the exchange of expertise among universities, all aimed at advancing the overall quality of higher education in Iraq.
During the session, the “Science Shield” was presented in honor of the participating deans, in recognition of their exceptional contributions and efforts in supporting education and scientific research—an occasion marked by mutual respect and a spirit of high academic collaboration.
