Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, Dean of the College. The event was attended by Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Yusra Abdul Sahib, and Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Adel Hussein Talib, along with a distinguished group of academics and specialists in software and computer technologies from several Iraqi universities, as well as representatives from the private sector, including Zain Telecommunications Company.
The ceremony commenced with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an followed by Al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs, and the playing of the national anthem. Opening remarks were then presented by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, the representative of the Programmers’ Syndicate, and the representative of Zain Telecommunications Company. The speeches emphasized the importance of collaboration between academic institutions and the private sector to provide students with practical experience and to acquaint them with the latest achievements and innovations in software and computer technology.
The speakers also highlighted the pivotal role of programmers amid rapid digital transformation, stressing the necessity of empowering individuals with modern technological tools that contribute to societal development and drive progress and prosperity. Furthermore, they underscored the significance of integrating efforts between educational institutions and both public and private sectors to build a technological ecosystem that supports the national digital economy.
At the conclusion of the festival, certificates of appreciation were presented to the esteemed guests in recognition of their attendance and valuable contributions to the success of this event.
