The Dean of the College of Science for Women at the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim , inaugurated the hall designated for the “Riyada” Initiative, accompanied by the Assistant Dean for Scientific and Student Affairs, Dr. Yusra Abdul Sahib Saif Al-Din, and Dr. Safa Sami Abdul Jabbar, Head of the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit. The opening ceremony was attended by Mr. Nabeel Talal, Head of the Rehabilitation and Employment Division at the University of Baghdad.
This initiative comes as part of the college’s ongoing efforts to enhance the environment of innovation and promote entrepreneurial projects among students and youth.
The hall was equipped with the support of the Prime Minister’s Office to serve as a modern training platform for the “Riyada” Initiative. It includes an advanced display screen, supporting technological tools, and comprehensive facilities that meet the needs of trainees—contributing to the development of their skills and empowering them to transform ideas into practical, implementable projects.
The college administration affirmed that the opening of this hall represents a qualitative addition to the entrepreneurial infrastructure at the University of Baghdad. It provides a modern educational environment aligned with technological advancements, opening broad horizons for students and innovators in the fields of innovation and digital technologies, in ways that serve society and strengthen its developmental role.
The Dean also commended the efforts of the trainers and supervisors of the “Riyada” programs at the university, expressing appreciation for their role in preparing and mentoring trainees and supporting them in developing distinguished projects and innovative ideas that reflect the spirit of initiative and creativity among youth.
