Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, Hall (3) in the Department of Biology at the University of Baghdad hosted a workshop entitled “Riyada: Your Gateway to the Labor Market.” The workshop was held in the presence of a distinguished group of students in an academic atmosphere characterized by enthusiasm and ambition, aiming to open new horizons for students toward creativity and entrepreneurial engagement.
The workshop was conducted under the supervision and implementation of the certified trainers of the “Riyada” initiative at the College of Science for Women, Dr. Jwan Khaled Hamoud and Dr. Safaa Sami Abdul-Jabbar.
The session began with a comprehensive introduction to the “Riyada” initiative, based on the official profile approved by the Prime Minister’s Office, along with an interactive presentation of its promotional poster, which captured the attention of the attendees and stimulated their interest in exploring the initiative in greater depth. The workshop further provided a detailed explanation of the initiative’s concept and objectives, supported by real-life practical examples, with the aim of reinforcing the idea that professional success is not limited to public sector employment but also extends to innovation and entrepreneurial projects.
Within an environment that encouraged creativity, the workshop focused on fostering students’ sense of initiative and encouraging them to think beyond conventional frameworks, thereby enhancing their ability to transform ideas into viable and implementable projects.
The workshop concluded with the distribution of informational brochures on the “Riyada” initiative to participating students, in order to raise awareness of its importance and its role in supporting young talents and preparing them to enter the labor market with confidence and competence.
