Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, Dean of the College of Science for Women, the College participated in the Ninth International Conference on the Arbaeen Pilgrimage, organized by the Karbala Center for Studies and Research affiliated with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein. The esteemed Dean, along with a number of faculty members from the College, attended the conference and presented rigorous scientific research and applied projects aimed at developing services provided to pilgrims and improving crowd management mechanisms in alignment with the continuous increase in the number of participants in the million-man pilgrimage.
The presented research addressed innovations and modern techniques in applied sciences, risk management, and logistics, contributing to enhanced safety and efficiency during the pilgrimage, in addition to providing scientific insights that support sustainability in services.
The College’s administration emphasized that this participation reflects the commitment of the University of Baghdad to strengthening the role of scientific research in serving the community and actively contributing to practical solutions for the challenges accompanying major religious events, thereby reaffirming the University’s leading position in supporting development and strategic planning.
