Under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Engineer Mohammed Shia’ Al-Sudani, and under the supervision of the National Security Advisor, with the attendance of Dr. Zaidan Al-Atwani, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Human Rights, the National Security Advisory, in coordination with the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Women’s Affairs, organized the third phase of the training program dedicated to female personnel working in security institutions.
With the attendance of the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs at the College of Science for Women, Dr. Yusra Abdul Sahib Saif Al-Din, representing the University of Baghdad, the event reaffirmed the University’s role in supporting such specialized initiatives aimed at empowering women and enhancing their participation in security institutions.
The event commenced with a speech by the National Security Advisor, who welcomed the attendees and reviewed the importance of empowering women within the security apparatus, highlighting the positive impact on overall security performance, and emphasizing the Iraqi government’s clear support for this direction. This was followed by a speech by the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Women’s Affairs, Dr. Shahbaa Al-Azzawi, who stressed the need to develop women’s leadership capabilities and activate their role in the security sector.
Additionally, Dr. Muaid Al-Jubouri, President of Al-Farabi University, delivered a speech, followed by Mr. Ali Hussein Hamdallah, Director of the Cybersecurity Center, who presented a comprehensive overview of the objectives and themes of the training program tailored for female professionals.
The scientific sessions covered several key themes, most notably leadership skills, protection of information from cyber extortion, and safeguarding personal information in cyberspace.
The event was attended by Lieutenant General Dr. Saad Maan, Head of the Security Media Cell at the Joint Operations Command, along with a number of security and academic leaders. This step underscores the government’s commitment to empowering Iraqi women across various sectors, particularly in the security and technological fields, in line with modern challenges and to strengthen their active role in society.
