Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, the Scientific Promotions Unit, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a workshop entitled “Submitting Scientific Promotion Files via the Electronic System.” The session was presented by Engineer Mohammed Abdul Kareem Muneer from the Electronic Computing Center at the University of Baghdad, along with Dr. Mukhtar Mohammed Hassan and Dr. Wissan Uday Mahdi. The event took place on the morning of Wednesday, May 21, 2025, in the conference hall, with the attendance of several faculty members and staff of the college.

The workshop aimed to provide a detailed explanation of how to use the official electronic system for submitting scientific promotion files. The presentation covered all stages, starting with the preparation of the academic file and uploading the required documents, passing through the process of entering scientific data and documenting research achievements, and concluding with the official submission procedures and approval by the relevant authorities.

The workshop included a live demonstration on the electronic platform, during which the necessary steps to avoid common errors and ensure data accuracy were clarified. Participants’ inquiries were addressed, and essential guidance was provided to ensure a smooth and efficient submission process.

Through this workshop, the Scientific Promotions Unit seeks to raise awareness about promotion procedures and enhance efficiency in dealing with the electronic system. The initiative contributes to reducing time and effort, ensuring transparency and fairness in academic evaluation, and fostering a more advanced organizational environment aligned with quality requirements and global standards in scientific promotions. It also supports digital transformation and facilitates administrative procedures for academic staff.
