The “Upgrade Students’ Written English Skills” training course, organized by the Continuing Education Unit, was held under the patronage of Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, Dean of the College of Science for Women. The workshop was presented by Ms.Marwa Waad Naif from the Department of Graduate Studies.
The workshop aimed to enhance the English writing skills of female students and researchers. This was achieved through a series of training activities focused on improving English grammar, refining writing style by using correct and clear linguistic structures, and expanding vocabulary to integrate it effectively into writing. Emphasis was also placed on organizing ideas coherently to ensure logical and smooth progression in written texts. Participants practiced techniques for presenting ideas concisely and clearly while maintaining accuracy of meaning. additionally, students were guided on how to properly cite sources in academic writing.
