Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, and the Dean of the College of Al-Tamayuz, Dr. Ali Hussein Ali, a distinguished sports carnival was held on the fifth and final day of Entrepreneurship Week. The event was organized by the Student Activities Division at the College of Science for Women in collaboration with the College of Al-Tamayuz, and in coordination with the Student Activities Department at the Presidency of University of Baghdad. It was conducted under the direct supervision and follow-up of Captain Mustafa Salam Faraj, Dr. Salah Mahmoud Salman, and Mr. Abdul Latif Mushtaq from the University Presidency.

The carnival was attended by the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Student Affairs, Dr. Nadia Mohammed Jawad, along with a number of faculty members and students from both colleges, who enthusiastically engaged with the event’s activities. The atmosphere was characterized by energy, vitality, and a strong spirit of cooperation.

The program included a diverse range of athletic, recreational, and intellectual competitions. A mental competition was held to develop students’ thinking and concentration skills, in addition to various sports activities and cardio games supervised and managed by Captain Mustafa, who provided direct athletic guidance to participants, organized the field activities, and motivated students to engage and compete positively. His efforts, together with the participation of Dr. Salah and Mr. Abdul Latif, contributed significantly to the success of the event and its distinguished presentation.

The officials responsible for student activities emphasized the importance of organizing such events, noting their role in stimulating students’ mental and physical capacities, breaking daily routines, promoting public health, and enhancing physical flexibility and activity. They also highlighted that collective activities constitute a fundamental pillar in shaping the university student’s personality, as they offer opportunities to build self-confidence and develop communication and teamwork skills.

This carnival formed part of a series of Entrepreneurship Week activities aimed at supporting youth potential, fostering initiative and creativity, and reinforcing a culture of university engagement as an integral component of a comprehensive educational experience, under the support and supervision of the University Presidency. The event was well received by attendees, who praised the high level of organization and the effective cooperation between the two colleges, commending the active role of the Student Activities Division at the College of Science for Women and the Student Activities Department at the University Presidency in ensuring the success of this event. They further underscored the importance of sustaining such initiatives to create a more dynamic and interactive university environment.
