Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Sciences for Women , Prof. Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, the Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Chemistry Sciences, organized a workshop entitled (Nanostructures, their physical properties and research applications) presented by Prof. Dr. Sahar Subaih Hassan, Asst. Prof. Dr. Shaima Rajab Baqer, M. s. Khattab Omar.
The workshop aimed to shed light on nanostructures and their importance in modern sciences and their unique physical properties such as small size and large surface interaction. The research applications of nanostructures in various fields such as medicine, environment and energy were reviewed. On the other hand, the latest methods used in manufacturing nanomaterials were discussed and how to apply these techniques in scientific research to achieve progress in modern industries, in addition to the role of nanostructure research in improving the performance of materials and developing new technologies that contribute to the advancement of many industries such as medicines, electronics and renewable energy
