The workshop aimed to highlight the vital role played by invertebrates in plant life, as it covered several topics including how to aerate the soil through the activities carried out by these small organisms, which helps improve the soil structure and increase its ability to retain water and essential nutrients. The role of invertebrates in the decomposition of organic matter was also addressed, which contributes to the recycling of nutrients that plants need for their growth and development, focusing on the major role played by these organisms in the biological control of plant pests, as they help reduce the use of pesticides and maintain the ecological balance. This workshop achieves one of the sustainable development goals represented by the fifteenth goal of life on land.
