The President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Baha Ibrahim Insaf, inaugurated the Media Monitoring Unit at the Department of Media and Government Communication in Bab al-Muadhim Complex, with the support and presence of the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Sarmad Hashim Al-Khatib, and the Director of the Department of Media and Government Communication, Dr. Harith Muhammad Ibrahim.
The unit aims to enhance the role of university media in covering university activities, highlighting its achievements, and providing support and assistance to the media departments and units in the Bab al-Muadhim Complex and its affiliated formations, including conferences, seminars, workshops, lectures, and research projects, in addition to preparing news and press reports.
During the inauguration, the university president praised the importance of media in conveying the university’s message to society and noted that the new unit will contribute to the development of media work at the university.
The University of Baghdad seeks to develop media work by establishing specialized media units, training employees in this field, and providing them with the latest technologies and equipment.
