Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, and in the presence of members from the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit at the Presidency of the University of Baghdad, the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit organized a tree planting campaign for the college under the slogan “For a Greener Future.” This initiative came in response to the directives of the Scientific Assistant to the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, with the aim of enhancing environmental awareness, contributing to the increase of green spaces, and focusing on the aesthetics and maintenance of the college’s gardens, as well as caring for the campus environment. This is a significant step towards achieving the goals of sustainable development to preserve the environment.
The campaign involved planting many saplings and trees distributed across the internal gardens in the new building. Attendees emphasized that such activities are important for creating a healthy environment suitable for study and for encouraging students to strive for success and excellence.
