Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, Dean of the College of Science for Women, and in the presence of the Assistant Dean for Scientific and Student Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Nadia Mohammed Jawad, the Qualification and Employment Unit at the College of Science for Women organized the “Digital Content Creation Challenge” under the slogan “Start… Design… Inspire.” The event was attended by Dr. Mukhtar Mohammed Hassan, Head of the Department of Computer Science, along with a number of faculty members, female students, and College staff.
The competition commenced with a speech delivered by the Assistant Dean for Scientific and Student Affairs, in which she emphasized that this initiative represents an important platform for showcasing the creative talents of female students and highlighting the importance of utilizing digital technologies to communicate knowledge and strengthen institutional identity. She also highlighted the growing role of digital content in the contemporary era and its potential to serve as an effective means of disseminating knowledge and launching purposeful projects that benefit society. She further affirmed the College Deanship’s commitment to supporting female students and encouraging them to develop their digital skills in line with the demands of the modern era.
This was followed by a speech delivered by Dr. Safaa Sami Abdul Jabbar, Head of the Qualification and Employment Unit, who explained that the competition was organized to motivate female students and graduates to produce purposeful digital content that contributes to disseminating knowledge and promoting creativity and innovation. She noted that the competition categories included video production, Reels, and awareness-oriented posts.
The competition program included the screening of an introductory video presenting the details and categories of the competition, along with a review of the participating contributions submitted by the scientific departments in each category. This was followed by the announcement of the names of the winning female students from the participating departments.
The event concluded with the distribution of awards to the winners, including certificates of appreciation and medals bearing the competition logo and the logos of the College’s five scientific departments.
