Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, Dean of the College of Science for Women, the Department of Biology organized a practical scientific activity as part of its extracurricular activities, entitled “Implementation of Handicrafts and Recycling Projects.” The activity was presented and supervised by Dr. Adel Talib, with the participation of a group of female students from the College.
The activity involved the creation of innovative handicrafts and distinguished recycling projects aimed at developing the students’ creative skills and promoting a culture of environmental sustainability. It also provided training on utilizing available materials and transforming them into useful products through modern artistic techniques. Furthermore, the activity contributed to developing the students’ practical and artistic abilities and fostering a spirit of cooperation and teamwork among them, in line with the College’s commitment to preparing graduates equipped with knowledge, skills, and a spirit of initiative.
The activity concluded by emphasizing the importance of supporting practical activities that contribute to developing creative skills and enhancing environmental awareness among students. It also highlighted the role of such activities in preparing a conscious generation capable of innovation and making an effective contribution to serving the community.
