Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, Dean of the College of Science for Women, the Women’s Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit, organized an awareness workshop entitled “Women’s Mental Health: Awareness and Strategies for Managing Daily Stress.” The workshop was presented by Ms. Zainab Adel Ahmed, Ms. Shaimaa Mohammed Abbas, and Ms.r Maysam Fadhil Abboud.

The workshop aimed to raise awareness of the importance of women’s mental health and enhance their ability to cope with life, professional, and social pressures. It addressed the concept of mental health and the key factors affecting it, in addition to presenting scientific and practical approaches to managing stress and dealing with it in a positive and effective manner.

The workshop covered several topics, including the importance of psychological balance in women’s lives and the impact of daily stress on physical and mental health. It also discussed effective strategies for reducing stress and anxiety, strengthening self-confidence, and developing coping skills to deal with various challenges.

The workshop witnessed notable engagement from the participants, with numerous questions and contributions that enriched the discussion and facilitated the exchange of experiences regarding effective ways to maintain mental health and achieve a better quality of life.

At the conclusion of the workshop, emphasis was placed on the importance of continuing to organize similar awareness-raising activities, given their effective role in providing psychological and social support for women and empowering them to perform their diverse roles with competence and confidence.
