Scientific Workshop on “Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Its Modern Applications” Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, the Continuing Education Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Physics, organized a scientific workshop entitled “Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Its Modern Applications.” The workshop was presented by Dr. Alaa Mustafa Dhiban and Ms. Noor Hassan Rashim.
The workshop aimed to introduce the concept of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and highlight its growing significance in the modern era, with particular emphasis on its applications across scientific disciplines, especially in the field of physics. AI has become an indispensable tool for analyzing complex data, performing computational modeling, and predicting physical phenomena. The workshop also explored the fundamental principles underlying AI, including machine learning and artificial neural networks, and examined their role in advancing scientific research by improving the accuracy, efficiency, and reliability of research outcomes.
Furthermore, the workshop presented practical examples demonstrating how AI technologies can be applied to solve scientific problems, thereby enhancing the analytical and research skills of students and researchers while enabling them to keep pace with rapid technological advancements.
The workshop concluded by emphasizing the importance of developing students’ and researchers’ competencies in the field of artificial intelligence and highlighting its vital role in supporting scientific research and improving the quality of scientific studies.
