Department of Biology Organizes a Workshop on the Risks of Invertebrates and Pathogenic Microorganisms and Their Impact on Human Health Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, the Continuing Education Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Biology, organized a workshop entitled “Invertebrates and Pathogenic Microorganisms: Their Impact on Human Health.” The workshop was presented Dr. Alia Mohammed Abdulhadi and Mr. Zaid Ziyad Adnan.

The workshop aimed to highlight the biological risks posed by invertebrates and pathogenic microorganisms to human health and to promote scientific awareness of disease-causing agents and their modes of transmission. It examined the biological characteristics of these organisms, their direct pathogenic effects, and the latest preventive strategies and control measures designed to reduce their risks within the environment and the wider community.

This workshop was organized in support of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being and Goal 4: Quality Education, by enhancing scientific outputs and promoting environmental and public health awareness both within the university and throughout the broader community.
