Under the patronage of the President of University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Raghd Al-Hashemi, and in the presence of delegations from the Al-Abbasiyah Holy Shrine, directors from the Ministry of Finance, and a number of representatives from private-sector companies—including Aswar for Programming, Wahaj Al-Dana, Aon Company, and the Iraqi Insurance Company—the activities of the third day of Entrepreneurship Week commenced. The event is being held jointly by the College of Science for Women and the College of Excellence.
The program of the third day included the opening of an exhibition showcasing scientific outputs produced through collaboration between the two colleges. During the exhibition, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs and Student Affairs, Professor Dr. Nadia Mohammed Jawad, reviewed projects presented by female students and graduates of the College of Science for Women.
The exhibition featured models of environmentally friendly manufactured products, including soaps and skincare and haircare moisturizers developed using natural materials and sustainable methods. It also displayed samples of safe and healthy drawing pigments for children that are non-toxic and pose no risk to health. In addition, the exhibition highlighted several significant software projects, encompassing programs and applications designed to facilitate administrative, banking, and healthcare operations—such as warehouse database systems and travel reservation programs—distinguished by their user-friendly and intuitive interfaces.
Furthermore, posters were presented for graduation projects and postgraduate research addressing modern methods for disease diagnosis, with an emphasis on accuracy and efficiency in presenting results, as well as projects aimed at proposing solutions to health, environmental, and industrial challenges.
It is noteworthy that the Entrepreneurship Week activities will continue until next Thursday, as part of the two colleges’ ongoing efforts to support scientific creativity, encourage innovation, and strengthen the linkage between academic study and practical application in service of the community.
