The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the results of the Iraqi University Rankings for 2025, which evaluated over 100 public and private universities based on educational environment standards, institutional performance indicators, and research progress.
This edition, prepared by the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority, assessed 103 public and private institutions using nine main performance axes:

The results of the ranking (https://iru.mohesr.gov.iq/result) showed that the University of Baghdad secured first place, followed by the University of Technology and University of Basrah among public universities. Among private universities, Al-Mustaqbal University ranked first, followed by Warith Al-Anbiya University in second place and Islamic University in third place.
