Under the patronage of the respected Dean of the College of Science for Women, Prof. Dr. Samira Naji Kazem, the Continuing Education Unit organized a course entitled “Physical Fitness and Healthy Nutrition.” The course was delivered by Prof. Dr. Najat Baqir Mashkoor, Asst. Lecturer Ghufran Zaid Aziz, and Asst. Lecturer Dalia Majid Hamid.

The course aimed to introduce the concept of physical fitness and its importance in maintaining public health, as well as to highlight the role of healthy nutrition in supporting physical activity and building a sound and healthy body.

The course included several topics that addressed the fundamentals of physical fitness, types of appropriate exercises for different age groups, in addition to explaining the basic principles of healthy nutrition and how to organize daily meals in accordance with the body’s needs.

The course concluded with an emphasis on the importance of continuing to hold such awareness-raising courses, which contribute to enhancing health culture within the university community and encouraging the adoption of healthy and sound lifestyles, thereby achieving the objectives of the course.
