A Distinguished Academic Achievement: Honoring Asst. Prof. Dr. Fikrat Majid Mohsen and a Number of Faculty Members for Their Contributions to Strengthening Scientific Research and the Indexing of the Iraqi Veterinary Medical Journal in Scopus
The College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Baghdad honored Asst. Prof. Dr Fikrat Majid Mohsen, a member of the University Committee for the Supervision of Scientific Journals, along with a distinguished group of faculty members from various colleges of the University of Baghdad, in recognition of their outstanding efforts in advancing academic publishing and supporting the research enterprise.
This recognition coincided with the celebration held as part of the activities of Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025, during which Dr. Fikrat received special commendation for his pivotal role in the inclusion of the Iraqi Veterinary Medical Journal in the global Scopus database. This achievement reflects a significant enhancement in the quality of published research and its compliance with international standards.
The attendees also commended the collective efforts of the honored faculty members in fostering a robust research environment within the University, supporting initiatives for high-quality scholarly publishing, and contributing to the enhancement of the standing of Iraqi academic institutions at both the regional and international levels.
