The Media and Government Communication Division Launches an Expanded Awareness Campaign at the College of Science for Women
As part of the activities of Drug Prevention Week, the Media and Government Communication Division at the College of Science for Women launched a comprehensive awareness campaign aimed at enhancing students’ understanding of the health, social, and psychological risks associated with drug abuse. The campaign was implemented through a series of activities and events held across the college premises.
The campaign included the distribution of informational and advisory brochures containing details about common types of drugs, methods of prevention, and mechanisms for early detection. It also emphasized the pivotal role of the family in protecting children from falling victim to this harmful phenomenon.
Scientific departments, in cooperation with students, also contributed by preparing educational posters featuring direct warning messages and awareness guidance. These posters were displayed in hallways and classrooms to serve as a continuous visual tool that helps spread awareness among students.
The Media Division affirmed that this campaign aligns with an ongoing annual plan aimed at promoting a culture of prevention among students, encouraging them to adopt healthy behavioral patterns, and contributing to the creation of a safe, drug-free university environment. This effort is consistent with the university’s commitment to supporting programs designed to safeguard youth and protect their future.
