Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Women’s Sciences, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, the Department of Physics, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a training course titled “The Secrets of Excel”. The workshop was delivered by Dr. Tasneem Hassan Mahmood and attended by several faculty members and students.
The aim of the workshop was to shed light on advanced Excel skills and their practical applications. Participants learned how to use Excel for data analysis and the development of accurate mathematical models. The workshop introduced Excel as a powerful spreadsheet program that can be utilized in a wide range of applications. It demonstrated how Excel can be used to create various models, present results in a clear and comprehensible manner, and analyze data quickly and accurately with a professional presentation style.
The session also highlighted Excel’s ability to generate charts and tables. It was noted that Excel includes numerous advanced features, such as formulas, mathematical functions, interactive charts, and pivot tables. Furthermore, the workshop emphasized the program’s utility in statistical data analysis, predictive modeling, and generating recommendations across various fields, including physics, engineering, economics, and statistics.
At the conclusion , the importance of utilizing Excel across different scientific and practical domains of daily life was strongly emphasized.
