Under the patronage of Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, Dean of the College of Science for Women, the Department of Mathematics in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a workshop entitled “The Use of the Mathway Application in Solving Mathematical Problems.” The workshop was presented by Ms. Fatima Ahmed Shihab, Ms. Huda Imad Al-Din Jameel, and Ms. Sama Muhammad Izzat.
The primary objective of the workshop was to introduce the Mathway application and demonstrate how it can be used to solve mathematical problems—ranging from basic arithmetic operations such as addition and subtraction to more complex algebraic equations and calculus computations.
The workshop included a detailed explanation of how to download and install the application on smartphones or tablets. It also covered the process of logging into the application, interacting with its interface, and inputting mathematical equations and problems to obtain immediate solutions.
A wide range of mathematical topics applicable through the application was addressed, including algebra, geometry, statistics, and applied mathematics.
This application is considered a powerful educational tool that facilitates the study of mathematics in a more accessible and effective manner. It also contributes to enhancing participants’ problem-solving skills, whether they are students at various academic levels or individuals interested in improving their proficiency in mathematics with greater efficiency and speed.
