Under the patronage of Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, Dean of the College of Science for Women, the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Unit organized a workshop titled “Formulating Vision, Mission, and Goals.” The workshop was presented by Dr. Amir Jaafar Sadeq, Ms. Anfal Mazher Ali, and Ms. Maisam Fadel Aboud.
The aim of the workshop was to enhance the professional capabilities of faculty members and liaison officers in the areas of defining vision, mission, and goal formulation in strategic ways that contribute to improving the overall performance of institutions. It also focused on the importance of vision as a fundamental element in guiding institutional work and enhancing institutional identity, in addition to clarifying the difference between vision, mission, and institutional goals in comparison to those in academic programs.
The workshop emphasized the necessity of having a clear and comprehensive mission that reflects the institution’s goals and future plans, while also highlighting methods for formulating goals according to quality standards and ensuring their achievement through continuous performance evaluation. The session included numerous practical examples and applied guidance aimed at improving institutional performance and promoting a quality culture in the workplace.
