The College of Science for women at the University of Baghdad discussed the master’s thesis entitled ” Evaluation of Fibulin-3, Adiponectin and Calprotectin Levels in the Sera of Iraqi female Patients with Knee Osteoarthritis ”
By the student: Maria Abdullah Hassan Aliwi
The thesis aims to this study is whether serum Fibulin-3, Calprotectin, and Adiponectin may be used as accurate and sensitive markers for predicting the prognosis of KOA disease in women with KOA
This study, which was conducted At Baqubah Teaching Hospital/Diwaniyah Health Directorate in Baqubah City, Diyala Governorate, measurement of Fibulin-3, Adiponectin, and Calprotectin levels using the ELISA technique.
The most important recommendations reached by the thesis are:
- Further study on fibulin-3 (EFEMP1) gene polymorphisms in patients with KOA
- Further study gene polymorphisms of calprotectin for KOA patients.
- Further efforts are needed to find associations between fibulin-3 and calprotectin with various diseases.
Further study levels D3 and phosphorus for KOA.
