The College of Science for Girls at the University of Baghdad discussed the master’s thesis titled (Analysis of the effect of lighting conditions on the ability to detect and calculate the speed of a moving object in the visual system) by the student (Batool Redha Abd).
The thesis aims to design an intelligent optical system to detect moving objects and calculate their speed
The message also included recording video clips of a moving virtual object (balls) in different colors. The filming was done under different lighting conditions. RCNN technology was relied upon and compared using the ALEXNET program
The work was done by taking a different number of classes and a different number of training times and studying the efficiency standards to test the quality and efficiency of work to detect moving objects under different conditions
The most important recommendations reached by the study are the proposal to apply the system to detect transparent objects, in addition to applying the system in a visual environment that contains variables such as the difference in speed, distance, and angle of fall of the objects
The proposed system can be applied to a number of different applications, especially traffic control and collision warning systems, as well as tracking and detecting fish underwater, as well as missiles and satellite
The grade obtained by the researcher (privilege)
