Master’s Discussion

The College of Science for women at the University of Baghdad discussed the master’s thesis entitled (Spectrophotometric Determination of Histidine and Loratadine in Their Pharmaceutical Preparation Using Prepared Silver Nanoparticles)

By the student: Rasha Smari Atea

Objectives of the Thesis
  1. Synthesize silver nanoparticles and characterize their physicochemical properties using (AFM), (TEM), (SEM), and (FTIR).
  2. Studying the optimal conditions for the interaction of the studied drugs, His and LOR, with AgNPs and construct calibration curves, then study the statistical data that include the linearity range, precision, accuracy, limit of detection, and limit of quantitation.
Content of the Thesis
  1. This method has been used to quantify drugs in pharmaceutical preparations; as a future recommendation, it can be applied to quantify drugs in biological fluids such as blood and urine.
  2. Additionally, it is advisable to broaden the proposed analytical method to include the assessment of additional pharmaceutical substances beyond those examined in this work, to ascertain its versatility and wider applicability.
  3. The implementation of this technology in other nanomaterial-based systems, especially those using alternative nanoparticles such as gold or metal oxide nanoparticles, is recommended to evaluate its overall applicability.
