Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Prof. Dr. Samira Naji Kazem, the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit at our college, in cooperation with the Mathematics Department, organized an introductory seminar for first-year female students. The seminar was delivered by the Head of the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit, Dr. Safaa Sami Abdul-Jabbar, and was held in the college conference hall.

The seminar began with a welcoming speech delivered by Dr. Safaa, in which she welcomed the students and wished them academic success and the achievement of the highest levels of excellence. She emphasized the Deanship’s commitment to providing academic and skill-based support for female students, and to preparing qualified female cadres capable of keeping pace with labor market requirements and contributing to building the future, especially since the college has its own programs dedicated to women’s education and empowerment, enabling them to attain their rightful place in the path of development.

The seminar introduced the objectives of the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit and its future vision, which aims to provide awareness and knowledge support to students through organizing workshops and specialized training courses designed to develop the skills of students and graduates, thereby enhancing efficiency and the ability to integrate into the labor market after graduation.

The seminar also highlighted the Unit’s role in coordinating with official institutions in both the public and private sectors, opening avenues of cooperation to provide training and employment opportunities for graduates, as well as guiding students toward early career planning and developing their personal capabilities.

At the conclusion of the seminar, the floor was opened for students’ questions and inquiries, which were met with active interaction and responses. Emphasis was placed on the importance of benefiting from the programs and activities offered by the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit due to their positive impact on refining students’ academic and professional development.
