Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, the Department of Mathematics, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Unit, organized a workshop entitled “Writing Equations and Mathematical Symbols in Presentation Slides Using Artificial Intelligence.” The workshop was presented by Dr. Nadia Mohammed Jawad and Dr. Farah Jawad Kazem.

The speakers provided valuable insights into how artificial intelligence can be leveraged to enhance the writing of equations and mathematical symbols. The event witnessed broad participation from faculty members, staff, and students, reflecting strong interest in modern technologies. Participants exchanged knowledge and experiences on how AI can improve presentation quality, emphasizing its importance in conveying mathematical information clearly, understandably, and efficiently.

Artificial intelligence plays a crucial role in advancing mathematics. It can be used to solve complex mathematical equations, analyze mathematical data, and develop educational software that helps students grasp mathematical concepts interactively. AI can also enhance the accuracy and speed of solving mathematical problems, provide innovative solutions, and offer valuable insights into mathematical patterns and trends.

The workshop aimed to educate and equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to utilize AI in writing equations and mathematical symbols. It also sought to raise awareness of the importance of integrating AI into professional presentation practices. The workshop concluded with participants offering key recommendations on effectively using AI for mathematical content creation, and it stressed the importance of continuing such events to further develop the skills and knowledge of both students and faculty.
