Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, Dean of the College of Science for Women – University of Baghdad, the Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Biology, organized a workshop entitled “The Impact of Environmental Factors on the Accumulation of Bioactive Compounds.” The workshop was presented by Dr. Bushra Mohammed Jaber, Dr. Sahar Abdul Khudair, and Dr. Zainab Imran Salman.
The workshop addressed the major environmental factors influencing the accumulation of bioactive compounds, highlighting the effects of different environmental conditions on the production and accumulation of these compounds and their significance in scientific and biological fields.
The workshop also discussed the main types of bioactive compounds and the mechanisms through which they are affected by environmental factors, as well as the role of surrounding conditions in the changes occurring in their production and accumulation. In addition, emphasis was placed on their significance and applications in relevant fields.
The workshop concluded by emphasizing the importance of promoting scientific and specialized activities that contribute to advancing knowledge and facilitating the exchange of expertise in related fields.
