Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, Dean of the College of Science for Women, the Continuing Education Unit, in cooperation with the Department of Physics, organized a scientific workshop entitled “Applications of Artificial Intelligence in Education.” The workshop was presentred by Ms. Huda Mohammed Jaafar Ali, Dr. Samara Jassim Mohammed, and Ms.r Israa Razzaq Sawadi.
The workshop addressed the concept of artificial intelligence (AI) and its growing role in advancing the educational process. It highlighted the importance of AI in supporting modern teaching methodologies by providing interactive learning environments based on intelligent technologies. The workshop also reviewed key practical applications of artificial intelligence in education, including intelligent e-learning systems, the analysis of student data to identify strengths and areas requiring improvement, and the personalization of educational content according to the individual needs of each student. In addition, it examined the use of AI to develop teaching methods and enhance the overall efficiency of the educational process.
The workshop further discussed the role of artificial intelligence in facilitating the work of faculty members by automating certain educational and administrative tasks, supporting the development of intelligent assessments, and providing immediate feedback, thereby contributing to improved student academic achievement. It also emphasized the importance of keeping pace with contemporary technological developments and integrating them into educational institutions in order to establish an advanced learning environment capable of preparing highly qualified scientific professionals.
The workshop concluded by emphasizing the importance of developing the skills of students and researchers in the field of artificial intelligence applications and highlighting its significant role in supporting scientific research and enhancing the quality of academic studies.
