The College of Science for Women participated in a specialized workshop organized by the University of Baghdad to examine the current status of implementing the Bologna Process across its academic formations. The workshop was attended by Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Nadia Mohammed Jawad Ibrahim, and Head of the Registration Division, Assistant Professor Sura Khalil Ibrahim, alongside Prof. Burak Arikan, an international expert in higher education policy development within the Bologna Process, Assistant President of the University of Baghdad for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, as well as officials responsible for implementing the Bologna Process across the University’s academic formations.
The workshop addressed the key stages of implementing the Bologna Process at the University of Baghdad and assessed the progress achieved in meeting its requirements. It also reviewed mechanisms for developing academic programs in accordance with internationally recognized standards in higher education.
The workshop further featured an extensive academic dialogue, during which practical implementation experiences were presented and the main challenges encountered in the implementation process were discussed. Participants also exchanged perspectives and proposals for improving work mechanisms in ways that contribute to enhancing the quality of academic programs and improving the efficiency of educational outcomes.
The workshop concluded by emphasizing the importance of continuing to develop the university education system in accordance with international best practices, thereby enhancing the quality of academic performance and strengthening the University of Baghdad’s standing at both the regional and international levels.
