The College of Science for Women at the University of Baghdad, along with its graduates, participated in the central graduation ceremony for the 67th cohort, titled “Batch of Science and Construction.” The event was organized by the Presidency of the University of Baghdad under the patronage and attendance of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibrahim Insaf, on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at the gardens of the College of Physical Education. The ceremony was attended by several Iraqi political figures, university presidents, deans of colleges, directors of research centers, and university professors.
The ceremony began with the playing of the national anthem, followed by the recitation of verses from the Quran, then a parade of the military college and flag bearers for Iraq and Palestine, as well as the University of Baghdad emblem, and rows of graduates from all the colleges. Afterward, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, delivered a speech, followed by a speech from the President of the University of Baghdad, Prof. Dr. Bahaa Ibrahim Insaf. The Vice President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Suhail Najm Abdullah, read the graduation oath, which all the students recited after him. At the end of the ceremony, gifts were distributed to the top graduates by the esteemed Minister and the President of the University of Baghdad.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Sameera Naji Kahdim, Dean of the College of Science for Women, along with the Vice Dean for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Yusra Abdul Sahib, the Vice Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Adel Hussein Talib, heads of departments, faculty members, and staff from the college. Dr. Samira Naji Kazem, Dean of the College of Science for Women, extended her heartfelt congratulations to the graduates of the University of Baghdad in general, and to the graduates of the College of Science for Women in particular, wishing them success in their professional lives. She also praised the efforts of the students and their professors during their university years, especially the outstanding students of the College of Science for Women
