Under the patronage of Dr. Sameera Naji Kahdim, Dean of the College of Science for Women, the Student Activities Unit organized an awareness workshop titled “Human Rights in the Thought of Ahl al-Bayt: To Combat Extremism and Terrorism.” The workshop was presented by Dr. Najat Baqer Mashkour, Mrs. Ghufran Zaid Aziz, and Mrs. Raghad Ghaleb Jafar in the conference hall, attended by a number of the college’s female students.
The workshop aimed to shed light on the concept of violent extremism that leads to terrorism, discussing the social, economic, and political factors that contribute to the spread of this phenomenon. Additionally, the rich heritage of the sayings and teachings of Ahl al-Bayt was reviewed, highlighting their contribution to raising awareness in society about protecting human rights and preserving humanity
