Under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Science for Girls, Prof. Dr. Samira Naji Kazem, and the Assistant Dean for Scientific and Student Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Yousra Abdel Saheb Seif El-Din, the respected Student Activities Unit, in cooperation with the Continuing Education Unit at the College, held a workshop tagged (Volunteer work, its importance and benefits to the individual and the university community) on Tuesday, December 13, at the Conference Hall, and was presented by Mrs. Najat Baqer, the official of the Student Activities Unit at the College, Dr. Najat Baqir The workshop was attended by the respected Assistant Professor Dr. Areej Shawkat Hameed, in the presence of a number of college teachers and students.

At the outset, Dr. Najat welcomed the honorable attendees and dear students and clarified the first axis of the workshop, which is the definition of volunteer work as any work or effort that is made to provide a service to individuals or society while taking the real responsibility to bring about change without taking a fee, after which she showed the importance of volunteer work and the consequent dissemination of the concept of cooperation and love of good for others, and showed its types, which are individual work provided by individuals or collective or institutional work, i.e. at the level of institutions.

The second axis was presented by Mrs. Badra, through which she explained the important benefits of volunteer work, the most important of which is a sense of responsibility, enhancing self-confidence, rebuilding society, getting to know new people and new ideas, while spreading positive energy when working as a cooperative team, all with the aim of achieving the satisfaction of God Almighty and thus feeling satisfied with self for the volunteer person by doing good.

The third axis was presented by the assistant teacher Maab, through which she indicated that volunteer work leaves an influential imprint on society and called on students to renounce the spirit of individual thinking and selfishness and urged them to spread the spirit of cooperation in doing good and loving good for others by engaging in volunteer work in college and university and showed the possibility of volunteer work from creating job opportunities for individuals, for example, small projects that started their idea through volunteer work for graduates and students who made a decision to make a real change in the lives of Other people out of humanitarian volunteer work.

At the end of the workshop, the floor was opened for discussion between the lecturers and the participants in the workshop.
