Under the sponsorship of the President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Dr. Bahaa Ibrahim Insaf, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Kahdim, the Department of Studies and Planning at the University of Baghdad organized a workshop titled “Strategic Planning.” The workshop was presented by Dr. Salah Al-Din Awad Al-Kubaisi and attended by the University Vice President for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Suhail Najim Abdullah, the Director of the Department of Studies and Planning, Professor Dr. Manal Shakir Ali, and the head of the Studies and Planning Division, Dr. Amal Safih, along with several officials from various planning units within the university, held in the college’s conference hall.
The workshop aimed to introduce the concept of strategy, its steps, tools, and types—long-term, medium-term, and short-term. It also addressed the five-year plan for the University of Baghdad for the years 2025-2030, which is a crucial step for the university’s development and enhancement of academic standards, optimal use of available material and human resources, organization, and reducing chaos and randomness resulting from neglecting the planning process.
