Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Sameera Naji Kahdim, and in the presence of the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Yousar Abdul Sahib, and the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Adel Hussein Talib. Within the framework of preserving the university environment and in an important step towards achieving the goals of sustainable development to preserve the environment, the College of Science for Women organized a campaign to afforest and plant the college gardens with the participation of professors, staff, and students of the college. This initiative coincided with National Afforestation Day and is part of a series of campaigns regularly conducted by the college to increase green spaces, enhance the beauty of the college gardens, preserve them, and included planting approximately 200 seedlings and trees distributed in the college gardens such as orange trees, olive trees, Egyptian acacia, coastal trees, baby roses, and climbing roses, to create a healthy environment suitable for studying, encourage students to strive for excellence, and achieve success and distinction.
