The Continuing Education Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Chemistry, organized a workshop named “Types of Food Poisoning and Treatment Methods,” presented by Dr. Sanaa Abdul Sahib, Dr. Ruaa Mohammed Daidan, and Dr. Rasha Abdul Jassim. The objective of the event was to provide an overview of diverse types of food poisoning and the corresponding treatments. This encompassed microbial poisoning, chemical poisoning, as well as poisonings caused by atomic radiation or heavy elements. The workshop highlighted essential treatment methods such as administering fluid replacement, antibiotics, antiparasitic medication, and gradually reintroducing food until the patient reaches the recovery stage.
