The Department of Computer Science, in collaboration with the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit, organised a welcoming ceremony for new students. The ceremony was supervised by Associate Professor Dr Nama Anad Kadhim, Head of the Department of Computer Science. The event began with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran and the reading of Surah Al-Fatiha in memory of the martyrs, followed by the national anthem. The ceremony then continued with the welcoming of new students and greetings from the organising committee. The Vice Dean delivered a speech on the occasion, congratulating everyone on the start of the new academic year and wishing them success and prosperity. The Head of Department gave a welcome speech, stressing the importance of adhering to academic and behavioural guidelines, as well as the importance of diligence, perseverance and following the instructions of the teaching staff. The ceremony also included several introductory lectures on the priorities of university students and the value of studying Computer Science as a specialisation. Finally, a competition was organised for the students and prizes were awarded to the participants.
