Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Samira Naji Kadhim, the Dean of the College, the College of Science for Women at the University of Baghdad hosted a solidarity event with the Palestinian people this morning. The event saw the participation of professors, employees, and female students from several scientific departments.
The Dean of the College, as well as the assistants and department heads, were also present at the event. The event featured recital of Surah Al-Fatiha, a minute of silence to honor the deceased Palestinian martyrs, raising of the Palestinian flags and displaying banners to support the Palestinian people. Subsequently, Professor Dr. Fikrat Majid Hassan gave a speech denouncing the massacres targeting innocent families in Palestine and highlighting the importance of Iraqi solidarity with their Palestinian counterparts.
