The dean of the College of Science for Women Prof. Samira Naji Kadhim received the president of the university of Baghdad Professor Munir Hameed Alsaadi and a delegation from the British Council headed by the chief executive Scott McDonald, on the sidelines of the visit to the university which aimed at a joint scientific cooperation which contributes to improving the educational level at the university and its formations.
The president of the university affirmed that this cooperation comes within the framework of the interest in the quality of education and communicating with advanced academic and scientific institutions. The dean of the College of Science for Women, on her part, indicated the particular importance that the cooperation has as it enables the university to monitor the IELTS exam under the supervision of the British Council. In addition to launching “The Next Generation programme” which is part of the British Council’s commitment to exploring youth voice and choice. It aims to understand youth attitudes and aspirations, amplify youth voice and support better youth policy-making.
At the end of the visit, the President of the University and the Dean of the College extended their thanks and appreciation to the British Council and the visiting delegation, appreciating their efforts in supporting the educational process and developing prospects for joint cooperation between the two sides.
