Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, Dean of the College of Science for Women, the Continuing Education Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Computer Science, organized a scientific workshop entitled “The Integration of Mathematics and Programming: Practical Applications in Various Fields.” The workshop was presented by Dr. Oras Khalid Hamid and Dr. Amal Sufaih Ajrash.

The workshop addressed the importance of integrating mathematical and programming concepts and highlighted their role in solving complex problems and developing modern applications across various fields. Particular emphasis was placed on how algorithms and mathematical models can be employed to develop software capable of efficiently analyzing data and supporting effective decision-making.

The lecturers also presented a range of practical applications demonstrating this integration, including the use of mathematics in artificial intelligence, data analysis, and the development of intelligent systems. Furthermore, the workshop focused on developing students’ analytical and logical thinking skills and enhancing their ability to employ programming tools to address mathematical problems in practical and effective ways.

The workshop concluded by emphasizing the significance of integrating mathematics and programming in supporting scientific research and expanding the horizons of innovation. It also highlighted the essential role of these disciplines in preparing a generation equipped with contemporary digital skills and capable of responding effectively to the demands of the rapidly evolving technological landscape.
