Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, the Continuing Education Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Chemistry, organized a scientific workshop entitled “Modern Techniques for Enzyme Detection.” The workshop was presented by Dr. Areej Shawkat Hamid, Ms.r Sinaa Aboud Mustafa, and Ms. Mais Mohammed Abdullah, and was attended by a number of faculty members and students.

The workshop explored the latest techniques employed in enzyme detection and identification, highlighting advanced biochemical and analytical methods that enhance the accuracy of results and improve the efficiency of analytical procedures. It also reviewed the practical applications of these techniques in the medical, environmental, and industrial sectors.

Furthermore, the workshop emphasized the importance of enzymes as essential biological markers in a wide range of scientific investigations and discussed their role in advancing diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. Practical demonstrations were also presented to illustrate modern enzyme detection methods using advanced laboratory instrumentation.

The workshop concluded by emphasizing the importance of developing the knowledge and skills of students and researchers in the application of modern enzyme detection technologies, recognizing their significant contribution to advancing scientific research and enhancing the quality of academic studies.
