Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, the Continuing Education Unit, in collaboration with the Department of Mathematics, organized a scientific workshop entitled “The Use of Selected Artificial Intelligence Applications in Mathematics.” The workshop was presented by Dr. Inas Mustafa Kamel, Dr. Nagham Mousa Ni’mah, and Ms. Zainab Saeed Abbas.

The workshop aimed to introduce the concept of artificial intelligence and its contemporary applications in the field of mathematics, with a particular focus on how intelligent technologies can be employed to solve complex mathematical problems, analyze data, and develop mathematical models. It also examined the most prominent tools and software used in this field and their role in facilitating computational processes while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in scientific tasks.

In addition, the workshop included a practical demonstration of how certain artificial intelligence applications can be utilized to support scientific research and enhance students’ skills in analytical thinking and innovative problem-solving. The session highlighted the ways in which these technologies contribute to improving research productivity and academic performance.

The workshop concluded by emphasizing the importance of developing students’ and researchers’ competencies in applying artificial intelligence tools in mathematics, given their significant role in supporting scientific research and enhancing the quality and rigor of academic studies.
