Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Science for Women, Professor Dr. Sameera Naji Khdim, the Rehabilitation, Employment, and Follow-up Unit organized a developmental workshop entitled “Sports, Proper Posture, and the Relationship Between Artistic Performance and Psychological Well-being.” The workshop was presented by Dr. Najat Baqir Mashkoor and Ms. Ghufran Zaid Aziz.
The workshop addressed the importance of regular physical activity in maintaining proper body posture and reducing health problems associated with poor postural habits. It also highlighted the vital role of sports in enhancing artistic and physical performance through the improvement of motor coordination, physical fitness, and overall body balance.
Furthermore, the workshop shed light on the close relationship between physical exercise and psychological well-being, emphasizing the contribution of regular sports activities to reducing stress and anxiety, promoting psychological comfort, enhancing self-confidence, and supporting the mental health of students.
The workshop witnessed active participation from attendees through questions and discussions that enriched its scientific and practical dimensions. It concluded by emphasizing the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle based on regular physical activity and its role in improving both physical posture and psychological well-being, thereby contributing to enhanced academic achievement and professional performance among students.
